AIREI
Councils
One of the most important functions of the
AIREI is to create a forum to enable members to get together,
exchange ideas and learn from each other in order to promote
competition amongst companies which can only be of benefit to the
companies themselves and the end user. Each
corporate member company is
represented by two of its most senior executives involved with
the supply to
investors or the companies that supply them. The
personal member or
member company can register to attend the meetings of as many of the
various councils as they wish. The board will however
have the final say in which council meeting each member may
attend.
The following councils have been formed to enable the members to work actively together
within their specific field of expertise or to gain knowledge of areas with which they are not yet so familiar.

responsible for monitoring claims made by members in publications or the media which could
mislead and for empowering the code of ethics by which members have agreed to be governed.
Non-members are also monitored and false claims brought to the attention of the relevant
advertising advertising association. Disputes between members are arbitrated and lobbying
on behalf of the Institute carried out.
Criminal Intelligence This council
allows members to work together to combat fraud, share information and to keep up to date
on Data Protection laws which affect their ability to receive qualified information in
their decision as to whether to take on a customer or not as well as tracing absconders.
Exhibition and Media Purchasing
Many AIREI members
spend large proportions of their budgets on exhibition and media purchasing. This council
allows the members to exhibit more often and place more advertisements within their budget
by being part of the AIREI Pavilion at International shows, which by means of bulk purchasing, is able to pass on
its savings to the members.
